Just Finished Reading A Touch Of Dead.............

I must say that all of the stories in the book were wonderful.  It felt really good to read what Sookie has been up too and to peek into her everyday life. It also refreshed my memories on all the wonderful stories of the different books.  By far Sookie will always be my Fav.  character.  Of course it would not be me if i did not say that I would have thoroughly enjoyed some BIG E action.  If she had given me some Big E then I would have been extremely happy. But for all you Sookie fans this is a must read.  It's great to read while we are waiting for the next book.

Finished Reading Tormennt Book 2 of the Fallen Series !!!

Well I finally finished reading book two of the Fallen series Torment.  I did enjoy reading the book however I really did feel Tormented at times from wishing I new a little more about Luce and why she is so important when the final battle comes.  I did like that fact that the author let us have a glimpse into her past lives.  Daniel is a little irritating because he does not give her much information either.  I guess I felt as if I myself was Luce and needed to know more but no one wants to tell me.  I really hope that the next book finally tells us Who Luce really is.  And what is her real relationship with good and bad.  Why did Daniel loose everything when he fell in love with Luce.   I can say that if you enjoy a good mystery this is definitely a mystery.  By the end of the book there are still many answered questions which of course will lead to me reading the next book in the series...Book three Passion I hope that we wil see more of the eternal love Daniel and Luce have shared for many centuries.  I am team Daniel all the way.  What can I say I am a sucker for a good love story.
I give it a Fang rating of VVV because there are still too many unanswered questions for me.

Finished Torment by Lauren Kate

Torment is the second book in the Fallen series by Lauren Kate. The first book, Fallen, sets the storyline of Luce as a intriguing beautiful girl who has spent her past lives falling in the love with Daniel, a fallen angel.     In Torment, the story picks right up where it left off in Fallen and Luce soon finds herself at a new school, Shoreline, with a new set of friends. I like the location of this book better, set on the coast of California, and that Luce knows a lot more about her and Daniel's story now. In this book, she continues to learn a lot about herself and her past and the fallen angel world. It is a creative, fun book, still dabbled with humor and definitely for a teen audience. There was also no major action scenes in this book, (there was a great kiss in the last book) but the fact that Luce is now beginning to come into her own and question her relationship with Daniel kept me coming back for more! Like Fallen, towards the middle of the book, it started to drag on for me, I wasn't really learning anything new with regards to the plot and I was like, come on get to the point already! I like authors to feed me new stuff throughout the book not save all of it until the end which is what Lauren Kate does in both books. There are still sooo many questions unanswered, we found out more about Luce's past lives but not why she is so significant in the battle between the good and bad angels. Like always with this series, I really want to know what happens next but not so much I am not willing to wait a while and read the third book before the fourth comes out. I am looking forward to getting out of the teen realm and bringing out the big guns! This was an important series because it lead us into the subject of "fallen angels" which another one of our favorite authors, JR Ward writes about.

Finished Fallen

Not to my surprise, this teenage romance about Luce and Daniel was a story about true love and angels. The main character, a strange and beautiful Luce who is followed by shadows, becomes obsessed with unlocking the secrets of alluring boy at her new school. Although, juvenile (thanks Carol) at times, this book really had me going in the beginning. I didn't know what was going to happen next and it was often times funny! Midway through the book after I started to get a grasp on the plot, it seemed to drag on but also had me hooked because I really wanted all the secrets to come to the surface. After finishing the book, a lot of the secrets were answered but a lot were not. Like, there is still really no answer about the shadows or why Luce is sooo important. Lauren Kate totally sets us up for the next book, at this point you would be crazy not too read it. However, I hope it starts fresh with action and doesn't continue on with more of the same. I liked the epilogue, I like the subject matter of past lives and I like the characters and even though I would have enjoyed more action, she did good with the sexual tension. I enjoyed this book more than Die For Me and give it VVVV. On to Torment, don't let me down Kate!

Finished Die for me......

Die for me was a charming book to read.  I thought is was a very creative way to portray the immortals that live among us.  The idea of Reverents (almost angels that died saving a life their fore earning there immortality).  I thought the concept was creative and a pretty hot idea for an immortal with no fangs!.  The description of the reverents was sexy and intriguing.  I would definitely recommend this book to others I would give it VVVV (4 fangs).  The reason  being that it was more of a young adult book and there fore the adult situations did not get very descriptive (hot and steamy) or involved.  The author kept it pg 13 all the way.  I loved the character of Vincent and his story.  In many ways he reminded me of Edward.  Kate was also an interesting character just having suffered the death of her parents she does not handle the idea of death very well.  That does not help if you start falling for the handsome guy who dies over and over again..  The other supporting characters were interesting as well each had a compelling story.  I thought it read well great book to read.  I did however get the feeling that there is more to come because the book was more of an introduction to there lives and not the story of there lives.  I think it definitely set the foundation for more stories of the trial and tribulations of a sprouting romance between a human and an immortal.  I look forward to reading more about Vincent and Kate Amy hurry up and release the next book in the series.

Finished Die For Me!

One of the reasons I wanted to read this book was because of its cover so I saw it fitting that I include it in my review! So cool. To me the book did not live up to the cover but I still enjoyed it none the less. This is book one of three in a teen book series so there was less action then we are used to but at the same time nice because I felt more of a connection between the two main characters, Kate and Vincent. I liked all of the characters and it had just the right mix of action and romance for me. There are no fangs in this book but supernatural creatures called "reverents" instead, very creative writing. All in all not bad for no sex and no fangs!

Finished Sunshine!!!

I just finished Sunshine.  It was definitely different.  I must say that although the story line was not about your typical romance between a Vamp and a human.  It was interesting and a pretty cool book to read.  I would give that book 3 fangs.  I was a little thrown off by the fact that the book did not have any chapters, because of that it felt like a run on sentence and often times the story lost some momentum.  I would suggest that you do not read it at night because it will put you to sleep.  But I do think that reading this book was ultimatley worth it.  The relationship between Sunshine and Constantine is different yet endearing.

Finished Sunshine!

Well, well, what can I say....there is something very special about this book despite that there are no chapters (thanks for pointing that out cat!) and it all seems like one big run on sentence. To me this book is about girl power, coming into yourself and accepting life on life's terms which I really like. I would have liked a better hook up of vamp and girl at the end (more action) but she ended it tastefully, she leaves many questions unanswered and leaves A LOT up to the imagination......good thing I have a good imagination! I really liked this book, not perfect but something different and a welcomed change and fresh look to the classic vamp love story. This one stands out from the rest!
